GRAYSLAKE – State Senator Melinda Bush (D-Grayslake) released the following statement in response to Attorney General Kwame Y. Raoul’s support of medication abortions:
“Women should always have the right to choose – and that choice also lies in what type of abortion they feel most comfortable receiving. If a woman seeks a medication abortion, she should have full access to it without any restrictions.
“Additionally, during a time when limiting travel is necessary to stop the spread of COVID-19, women should not be forced to travel for a medical procedure and risk contracting the virus. Many medical institutions are relying on telehealth services during this time – why should this be any different?
“I thank Attorney General Raoul for his continued efforts in the fight for reproductive health care.”
